Enrollment Instructions

To apply for enrollment at Sur le Point School of Ballet, please follow the instructions below:

  • Navigate to the contact form at the bottom of this page.
  • Under the “Subject” field, select “Enrollment” on the dropdown menu.
  • Select the relevant school to which you are applying.
  • Extra fields should now be generated, consisting of an Enrollment Form and an Enrollment Contract.
  • Please make sure all fields are filled in thoroughly!!
  • Done! We will be in contact shortly via your submitted email address with any and all relevant info to get started!

**PLEASE NOTE**
Fees differ from school to school due to different arrangements per school.
Banking details for payment purposes will be sent through via an invoice after an enrollment request has been submitted.

ENROLMENT CONTRACT
I/we

parent/guardian of

hereby agree to the following terms and conditions as set out by Deidre Cameron (Viljoen) at Sur le Point - School of Ballet.

Fees:
  • Students are required to pay their fees by electronic transfer, direct deposit or cash every Month, this should be made in advance by the 5th of every month.
  • Fees not received by the 5th of every month will be charged a penalty fee of R50 per month.
  • Banking details will be provided once your enrolment has been approved and sent on each invoice
  • Proof of payment can be sent to surlepointballet@gmail.com
  • Please include the student’s name and surname as reference on all payments.
  • An annual increase of 10% will be applicable as from February each year. Parents will be notified of such.
  • Fees are payable from February-December of each year. (11 Months)

Lessons and Attendance:
  • There are no lessons on public holidays.
  • Lessons will not be made up due to non-attendance on the student’s part.
  • In the event of the teacher not being available to teach, a suitable substitute teacher or associate will fill in for the teacher, IF AVAILABLE.
  • One month’s written notice (email) is required to discontinue lessons.
  • Notice may not be given in the months of November and December.

Examinations:
  • Students are encouraged to participate in the annual ballet examinations.
  • Participation in the examinations is at the teacher’s discretion.
  • A minimum of 80% attendance is required for examination qualification.
  • Separate fees are applicable for these examinations. Parents will be notified of these additional fees prior to the examinations.

Dress:
  • Students are required to wear regulation dance attire for every lesson, i.e. leotard, tights, ballet shoes. Vocational training level dancers to have their pointe shoes ready, if required. Girls are to wear their hair in a ballet bun.
  • No jewellery, watches etc. (only small ear studs may be worn). NO CHEWING GUM!
  • Canvas ballet shoes are required for class. For examinations, students wear either canvas or Leather shoes with elastic for Pre-primary and Primary levels and ribbons for all levels Test 1 onwards.
  • For all stage work, students are liable for the full cost of their stage costume.
